Fr Darren Brennan
Fr Darren Brennan was ordained in 2008 for the Diocese of Down and Connor and serves as Parish Priest at St Paul’s on the Falls Road — one of the most historic and vibrant parishes in West Belfast. A co-author of My Modern Day Saints, he is known for his ability to meet people exactly where they are, with warmth, honesty and a deep pastoral heart. St Paul’s Parish is home to an active Legion of Mary praesidium, and Fr Darren has long supported the Legion’s outreach work in the community — accompanying legionaries in their mission to bring people closer to Christ through Our Lady.
Maybe it has been years since you last set foot in a church. Maybe you still go, but something feels hollow. Or maybe you have simply drifted — not through any dramatic crisis, but slowly, quietly, in the way life sometimes pulls us away from the things that matter most. If any of that sounds familiar, this talk is for you.
In the opening session of Rediscover the Path, Fr Darren Brennan asks the most fundamental question of this journey: what exactly is “the path”, and what does it look like to find your way back to it? Drawing on his years of pastoral experience in Belfast, he speaks honestly about the reasons people leave — and the quiet, persistent grace that never stops calling them home.
This is not a lecture. There is no finger-wagging. It is a warm, open conversation about faith, doubt, belonging, and the first steps back. Wherever you are on the road, you are welcome here.
The path home is never as far as it feels. The first step is simply deciding you want to take it.
